Comprehensive Exams Bring Early Detection
During your first visit, and every 5 years, we conduct our full mouth or panoramic x-rays, and our comprehensive exam… an in-depth assessment of your entire oral health including teeth, jawbone, gums, TMJ, muscles, and supporting tissues. A comprehensive exam is far more extensive than a routine checkup. Its thoroughness allows for the early detection of issues such as cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, and abnormalities in your bite or jaw function. That early detection helps identify areas where you may need to focus when brushing and flossing. It also allows for timely interventions that can prevent minor issues from developing into serious, costly, or painful problems.
Fluoride Treatment As Needed
For patients that have sensitivity, high decay rate, dry mouth or many teeth with restorations, we offer both in-office fluoride varnish treatments and take-home fluoride varnish kits. Some patients opt out of fluoride treatments, and we respect their decisions.
A Full Range of Periodontal Services
Non-surgical scaling and root planing (deep cleaning), surgical gum graft surgery, pocket reduction surgery, crown lengthening and more to help patients maintain their oral health, even if they have developed advanced stage gum disease.
Our experienced, skilled and very gentle hygienists use a powerful numbing gel and measure your periodontal pocket depth and gum recession with patient comfort in mind. Our non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease, using scaling and root planing with profound anesthesia, helps prevent the need for surgical treatment.
This proactive approach not only preserves natural teeth and oral function but also contributes to overall well-being, as oral health is closely linked to your overall health.

Oral Cancer Screening
CBCT Scans
When appropriate, we use Cone Beam Computed Tomography to get the kind of 3D images of your teeth – and the surrounding bone and tissue – than is not possible with 2D x-rays. This allows us to provide treatments with greater safety and precision.
CBCT technology delivers highly-accurate diagnoses of dental, jaw and sinus problems. It also helps us plan dental implants with much higher precision, creating a better custom fit to your needs and anatomy.
Oral hygiene instructions, diet analysis and tobacco counseling
At every hygiene and checkup visit we thoroughly review brushing/flossing/water flossing techniques with you for optimal health. We also review your diet to help guide your choices.
Oral Cancer screening
During each office visit we perform a complete oral cancer screening. Oral cancer is on the rise. As vaping and HPV rates increase we are finding more cancerous lesions and swollen lymph nodes that require immediate attention.
We check for white and red precancerous lesions, and if needed use a brush or incisional / excisional procedures for biopsy. We send the specimen to Temple University oral pathology lab for immediate microscopic assessment.
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)
SDF treatments stop incipient (early-stage) cavities from progressing to larger problems. They are minimally invasive, requiring no drilling or injections; instead, we apply SDF to the interproximal contact area with a special floss technique.

Sleep Apnea Treatment – Oral Appliances
Sleep apnea can have very serious long-term health consequences, so it should be treated in a timely manner. We offer solutions to patients suffering from mild to moderate sleep apnea, particularly for those who have difficulty tolerating CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) devices. Our custom oral appliances provide effective relief by gently repositioning the jaw or tongue to keep your airway open during sleep, helping to prevent breathing interruptions and reducing snoring. The result is better sleep and less daytime fatigue. And unlike noisy and cumbersome CPAP machines, our oral appliances are quiet and compact.
Bruxism Treatment – Custom-Fitted Night Guards
One thing we look for during our exams are signs that you are clenching or grinding your teeth at night( or day) . Known as bruxism, this behavior can wear down your teeth and send your jaw out of alignment, causing chronic dental problems. It can also lead to headaches, jaw pain, and other serious issues. Our custom hard/soft bite guards are designed to precisely fit your teeth, protecting them from wear while comfortably holding your jaw in perfect alignment.
TMJ Services
Our Doctors have been highly trained to help our patients with TMJ discomfort. TMD (Temporo-mandibilar discomfort) can be very annoying and severe at times. This could be from the TMJ joint, jaw muscle spasm and misaligned teeth causing bad bite. By fabricating bite guard splints, anterior bite planes or soft guards – in combination with bite adjustment and anti inflammatory medication – we can help treat your TMJ issues.
We can recommend home care modalities and massage, Tens or moist heat therapy, and softer diet to help heal your pain. Some patients may need full mouth rehabilitation or orthodontics to correct their bite and help alleviate the TMJ problems. Let us know if your TMJ has been bothering you. We are here to help.
